Why no Kiddies honours top ten?

I think Alex Halank age 10 has put in a lot of effort and deserves a mention this year.

If the kiddies class was combined with the Juniors, he would be number 6!

He is still 3 years too young to be in their category though...

Agree KA360 - The kiddies deserve a mention for their effort throughout the year. Well done Alex- you are giving my son (Shield Crusher) from the Vikings something to aim for, he is also 10 but hasn't had much TOW yet and only recently joined up to the GTC.
Well done to all that made it into the top 10- Keep up with good work Hardie and Nebbian.
Cheers
Astrid

yep, well done to everyone who made any top ten, youre all amazing, since size plus such a big role in goong fast, how come it isnt like boxing, and goes by wieght?. i dont know everyone on the lists, but guys like Izacc perkins or mathew robertson, who are clearly lighter than say spotty, is thier achievement greater, not saying that spotty and the other giants efforts and results arent magnificent, but what about the welterwieghts? pfffff, just noticed all the perkins made the lists, they gotta be the overall greatest family of windsurfers, i blow abit of smoke up thier arses, but i get heaps of inspiration from them, there not real heavy, but they go sooooooooo fast, good on ya, good on ya kato and daffy, great guys, great windsurfing champions to me and lots of other lake wannabes, wheres spotty

milsy have you heard of the equipment race, it's the main reason that kills all sports, everyone reaches there ability on the equipment they can afford in all sports, if you cant compete with the cash you ship out
taking myself as an exception Ive hung in there on crap most guys would get from your local recycle yard and i'm happy plugging away, milsy if you constantly worrying that your not up to pace with the the big money guys your not enjoying your sailing and that's when most guys shape up or ship out
if it will make you feel better ill stick up some pics of the gear i use and you will feel like your a sponsored sailor with out having to spend the cash
here's a thought i'm getting on my last legs for this sport so i'm considering on taking up marbles , it a more affordable sport while on the pension ill let you know what the setup cost is involved

hi keef, i think you may have misunderstood me, i dont think my gear holds me back, my level of skill, and experience is what holds me back not to mention my level of bravery, personally i feel like im getting better all the time, i was just asking why it wasnt broken into wieght divisions, most of the dudes i know who go crazy fast are giants, kostya doesnt fight lennox because there both 30, i luv windsurfing and took it up about four years ago and have no delusion about competing with the big boys, im just a lake wanna be, who enjoys the sport at that level, i draw great inspiration from all my local windsurfers, big and small, being light, i was just wondering why wieght and age arent considered, i dont expect any changes to anything, i was just saying, thats all, marbles, i think youve lost yours, and as for you being the exception on old gear, pffffffff, heaps of dudes have old gear and kick my arse no worries, ol pete, chris christian, mick kay, i could list heaps, plus i know all the guys who are great would smoke most people on anything, eg, sam parker would do most riding a piece of bark.,goodluck spotty

Well done to my team mate Jacques to get 3rd only after 2.5 years of sailing... Not bad for a punter who uses "wave sails!!!!"..

hardy you've got this guy in the wrong category, he's a "LEGEND", can't see where he's using wave sails but for what this guy has achieved in 2.5 years he deserves credit,

You can look up weight class results on GPS-Speedsurfing. Interesting reading. It does not take into account how much lead guys stuff into their vests though!

Apart from that, I think it would be a nice addition to add weight classes to the GPSTC individual ranking look-up. People would have to list their weight in their profiles though. Come on now, what do you really weigh? Honesty system!!

So chuffed to have made it into the top 10
Especially after being a non athlete for all my life and always the last to be picked for teams at school.
Thanks Mineral for having the faith in me to invite me to join the Pinnaroos.
Thanks to WWA for the loan of a GPS so I could finish out the year after mine was drowned.
Membership does have it's benefits...
