Just acquired one. No CD in the packet. Found a PDF Manual and other instructions to get going.
Looking to update to firmware to the one on MtBest website.
I can't find the drivers to connect to PC. None of the links on Locosys website worked for me. Sent an email almost a week ago, no reply. Info is available on the net is scarce.
Any one has a working link to drivers and Navilink?

Never any CD in the packet, you now have to source an old 2gb card of compatible voltage, I've had no trouble with sandisc and there are others, there's a list somewhere, a search may find it.
Found it while looking for your drivers,

GT-31 provides power of 2.8VDC.

The following cards have been tested to work with GT-31:
SanDisk 2GB
Transcend 1GB
Kingston 2GB
PNY 2GB
Apacer 2GB 60X

Looks like you were almost there, I think you missed the small section panel, info, downloads, faq

www.locosystech.com/en/product/Previous-Generations/locosys-previous-generations.html

there's drivers for windows, mac and linux.

Thank you!

Perhaps Locosystech recently updated that page? I was there last week, and all the links were on the same page and no tabs!

I tried the MtBest update using a windows 8 pc, started ok, ended up with an error msg. Will try again on an older PC. Now a short break is needed.

Managed to find an old card that was lying around that was 1gb. It was not on the list. I formatted no problems using the GT31, so fingers crossed it should work ok.

Can't wait to get it out on the water.

Before you get out on the water, go for a walk with the GPS and see whether it tracks you.

Great tip moby, there's so many things to get wrong in the set up. It's best to check you've got it right before going out there to get your one and only 50kt run ever.

Moby, It was displaying speed when walking (kmh not knots, hopefully update will fix that), so assumed it must be ok. I had it on the water yesterday, nothing worth recording. Lets see what comes out of it.

In settings, you can change from km/hr to knts in "units" but you have to select "NM" (nautical mile)

Thanks, will give it a try!
It's not a bad unit once you figure out all the quirks.
