Hallo, my gt31 worked good it started to not read the memory card. In order to download tracks on the laptop I use to pull the card off. I also tried to clear the card to start new storing. Checked the card (to see if it is broken) and it seems ok.
Any help? thx
How do the screws look in the card compartment? If there's any sign of rust on them, then the card contacts are probably also corroded. Some people have had success by cleaning or tightening the contacts.
If you can't get the card working, there's the option of using the internal logger via the navilink software.
Check card size .cant be bigger than 2gb![]()
This is true, but Op says it was working, but now doesn't
Had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago. I tried cleaning the GT-31, changing the settings. You name it nothing seemed to help until I noticed the switch on the SD card. I turned out my SD card was locked. The small grey switch on the left side of the SD card probably slid down to the locked position the last time I removed the SD card from the GT-31. Moving it backup to the unlocked position was all it needed to get my GT-31 recording again.
Good one tank, I'd forgotten all about that little switch! Should be the very first thing to check in cases like this.
Ive been having the same problem. hen I turn my GT31 on it does everything like normal but doesnt find the SD card. When I come in from sailing I try to save to card with the "card not found" coming up. So when Im ready to download I take the card out and usually the little white switch is slightly down from the unlocked position. I then turn the GT31 on and insert card. "Card found" pops up and I save to card as normal and then upload the data. Works fine. Dont know why it does this??
Sounds like you have a very loose, "little white switch".
Not sure how to tighten it up, any remedies that come to mind could have possible nasty consequences.

Rip that little switch off... you dont need it. Its sole purpose is to stop writing to the card.
