Hi,
I can't unlock my GT 31.
I tried to unlock it the same way I locked it - by holding down couple of seconds toggle button, but it does not work.
Tried to move toggle button in all directions, holding for long time, pulling out, but at the end it doesn't help.
Took out SD card, but the file was empty.
Any other hints or suggestions?
Don't want to lose the session as I did my PBs today.
Ooh, sounds like you might have a problem. Removing the SD card while it's turned on always yields an empty file unfortunately...
Firstly, try to keep your finger absolutely still as you are pressing down on the toggle button. If you are moving it from the center position while pushing down, it will not unlock. If you can unlock it this way, you can go into the datalogger menu somewhere and select 'save to SD card' or something. That way you still get your file.
Last resort: open the GT-31 up with a Philips 000 screw driver and disconnect the battery. Later on download the datalogger data later on or have someone do it for you. Opening up the GT-31 will probably void your warranty and I am not responsible for any damage yadda yadda...
To read the data from the datalogger: Download the the Navilink II software from Locosys here: www.locosystech.com/en/category/index.html (under Downloads -> " GT-31/BGT-31 Utility NAViLink II")
You might need a serial port driver from Prolific as well to connect to your GT-31, that can be found here: www.prolific.com.tw/US/supportDownload.aspx?FileType=56&FileID=133&pcid=85&Page=0 (GUEST/GUEST if you need to login...)
Hope you can save your session!
I bought one two months ago and have the same issue. It seems to be intermittent and I've had a few other odd things happen but thought it must be user error. The first time it happened my fingers were so cold I thought it was because I was shaking so badly!
