I'm very new to GPSTC and had been using a Garmin Edge (cycling GPS). Now I have just bought a GT-31. In cycling, most people would use a website called Strava to upload and analyse the ride.
Aside from KA72 and GPSTC websites, are there others that will let me view my windsurfing session in nice details? I am hoping on seeing the session replayed by animation so that I can see how many gybes I did successfully, how quickly I did them etc.
I seem to recall seeing an animated race of a few windsurfers overlaid on a google map. How is this done?
Hi Grumpy..
you mean like this?

Simples!!!!
We took our GPS tracks and converted them into GPX files.
Then we imported them into Google Earth Pro and created a tour with speeds, height elevations and orientations.
Then we made a movie of the tour
Then we impoerted and edited the movie, adding graphic overlay
Then we converted the movie into mp4
Then we uploaded it
Then we realized we'd wasted a whole evening on it!!! ![]()
you can down load gpsarpro (GPS action replay pro). it cost, I think about 30euro. That will analyse your data, and do a replay, measure distances, and all sorts of stuff
As well as GPSAR-Pro, there is GPS-Results and Realspeed, all specifically designed for speed windsurfing.
All these programs will let you analyse the tracks in great detail on your own computer and give results for all the GPSTC categories and more.
They all cost a few dollars but you can try them out for a limited time free.
