Hi Im a Mac user is there a way to up grade a GT31 to the correct speed geene on the mac? Or better still is there anyone who is PC based who could do it for me round the northern beaches in Sydney? My old one got drowned the day I lost my booms due to a burst mystic pouch, my new back up one does not seem to work the same way so I assume its not updated. Or any other advice appreciated.

So are you missing, "history max"? This was the case, with out of the factory firmware.
You need the Tom Chalko version to get best 2s and 10s for the day.
Mine is version V1.4B0315T, and it needs the GT31 Upgrader V0.71 to install it.
I don't think it can be done with a mac, unless you're running a virtual windows utility
You need to update to the Genie Formware version.
That can only be done with a Windows machine.
i will have saved a FW version with Genie If you can't find it, PM me.
Andrew, I think all GT31s had speed genie, but the very early ones didn't have "history max".
In other words they only displayed the last run, not session max.
I've just checked the "readme" note and history max was added quite early.

So any FW after V1.2(B0804T) should be OK, as long as it's got the "T" on the end. I think it took a while before locosys put Tom's version on their webpage. As I remember it we had to download from Mount Best.

As far as I remember, the difference is whether the speed genie shows the best runs for the session as well as the last runs. The early versions only showed last run.
