GT- 31 Invalid Command downloading using navilink

takes a looong while to get the sb1 file then craps out with "Invalid CMD", operation failed.

I don't have a memory card in my gt-31...am I screwed? i'll be spewing, i sailed for over three hours today and pulled some screaming corners. robbed!

Grab a memory card, (cheep as chips)download the data loger on the card. All your session will be on that. Data logger will keep over writing old data so a good amount will be on it.
Just need to weed out todays session and you should be jake
Keep the memory card and run it in the GT31, saves heaps A

i managed to salvage something after a few restarts, so I managed to wriggle out of it.

but i reckon I'm going to follow your advice to cover me in the future...i would have been crestfallen if i couldn't retrieve today's session.
