Wow, I had flashbacks of a younger healthier less stressed out man, boy have thingz changed for me in 6 years!!!

The GTC has now evolved into sumthing bigger than I originally had imagined but secretly hoped for. I must admit I think the new committee is a better arrangement than the benevolent dictator model, and I'm beginning to feel less stressed by the whole GTC thing, and enjoying my windsurfing much more again!!!!

PS. On reflection the best thing about the GTC has been all the people I've met from all over Australia, and hope to meet in the future!!!!!!!

Thanks Sausage, I do not remember reading this thread ( I am a relative latecomer).
I see Kato suggested furthest sailed in one day. I wonder who would be up for that? I wonder if anyone will get over 150 kms for a day ;-o.
Been said before but thanks to Hardie and Nebs for giving me (us) such a great comp.

Same here Daryll - my first SB post was a couple days before the 2008 Burrum Speed comp. Didn't learn about the GPSTC until later that year from memory.

A very interesting read, especially in the light of where it is today.
I hope someone is archiving that thread for posterity.
