I would have thought with +500 Australian GPSTC members there would have been a bigger response than ninety.
Though the results seem to be fairly clear as to which way the members would like the Challenge run.
Good luck to all the Reps and you have my support. Great comp.

There is still time to vote. Survey doesn't close until the 14th Feb. All comments are welcome and will be discussed. Anne

OK, we can obviously get some very useful information from this survey, but I noticed that some obvious (to me) options were not asked about.

Eg: We have had a very strong rivalry amongst some of the teams for the seasonal (Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring) Cups. I thought this was great, especially when the cups could be displayed in a public place (like for instance the Beachport Pub) or a place where members of the team regularly gather. Did I miss that discussion? I wold have liked to vote to continue that tradition. I did see some discussion about a virtual trophy room, and I agree that should be part of the website, but I still would like to see the actual seasonal cups presented and the photo of the team standing with it. Am I the only one?

In the fundraising question there should have been more option to vote for two of the three. (Now it is one or all three)

etc.

Not trying to be a wet rag. Trying to be constructive.

I would like to see more discussion of the various options and ramifications.

I wonder how many others missed seeing the survey in the news section. Can we highlight it EG red/bold so it stands out? Just my thoughts.

Might be worth team captains emailing out the link to team members. I have done it today for my guys, as not everyone checks the GPSTC website regularly.

I am trying to get my head around not checking the GTC site regularly... Am I alone in looking dozens of times a week?

As for the survey, I sort of agree with Sailquick that the fund raising question was a bit awkward to answer. I would have gone for 2 not all 3 but could not!
And for fndraising I think the KA72 model of a small monthly voluntary donation thru paypal is good!.

Greetings All

I am part of the Southerly Busters team and I would like to suggest the opportunity for GPSTC to recognise those that are progressing in this addictive sport by having a ladder of teams recording "PB" for the month/year. For a lot of us weekend warrior hack sailors and the juniors in the team it is not all about our speeds but about improving and achieving those two letters. Especially for Southerly Busters Dazza and Wendles as it determines who is going to cook that night!
Would this be difficult to do? Do others see merit in this?
