Gidday all,
After sailing last night i discovered that my Gt31 did not record to the SD card. I got a "card failed" message.
No idea how to get data if not on the card. Can someone give me a "download for dummies" solution so I can get yesterdays session please???
many thanks,
Larko.

Larko, go back in scroll though to data logger, and save data logger to the card. You will have a bunch of older sessions on there. Just need to fish out the last session and there you are.
Pays now you have experienced this issue to clear data logger before each session. Or at least get comfortable with draging out the last session if you dont clear data logger. Logger will continue to over write oldest session so you will always have the last few on it.

Hey Mineral, thanks mate but I have been doing that every time I sail. I always come in and go to data logger and save to card. My GPS wont do it now. It worked fine on Thursday but yesterday and today, same result.
When I tried to save to card it came up with "fail".
So I have two good sessions but I cant download[}:)]
Any more solutions???
Sorry, forgot to mention, Ive just been trying different things and now the Gt31 wont naviagte throuogh different screens etc. Wont recognise any card etc. I think its time to get it looked at. Does anyone know where or who handles this sort of thing??
can you send it back to Navisys etc??
cheers,
Larko.

If it is still in warranty contact Locosys.
www.locosystech.com/en/page/contact-info.html
They will also do repairs if out of warranty but it will cost you.
You may be able to download the data from the logger in the unit via USB.
You will need to install drivers and the software (Navilink II) from either the CD or Locosys site

Hey Larko, I had a similar thing last week at Canton. I ended up using Navilink to get the data. Once I had the data, I reformatted the card using the GT31 - all good for today's session.
