Chjeck out the overall rankings: http://gpsteamchallenge.com.au/combinedrankings.php

Here's my reviews (Unfinished yet), please add your reviews/comments on any of the teams!! In particular I invite comments on the non-WA teams, as I don't know them very well.

No.1 Swan River Mob clearly in no. 1 posn, top sailors, WA great winds, some world class performances from this team.

No.2 and 3, Moreton Bay Mob vs Onboard Speed Demons, great tussle for Runners-Up, Top sailors in each team and obviously some of Australia's fastest sailors, conditions probably a touch under WA consistency.

No 4 Mandurah Mob, probably a bit of a suprise packet, but sailors have the most time of all others being retired, semi-retired and slackers, and great WA conditions.

No 5 Pit crew, didn't get the wind conditions year round, top class sailors, top venue, and the varied categories probably took the edge off the Pit advantage.

No 6 Board Crazy Boys, Very consistent quiet achievers, obviously very good sailors, Commendation!!

No 7 Cockroaches, Obviously some top sailors in this team, great comaradarie, just didn't get a lot of wind during the challenge.

No 8 SEQ, Top effort a top ten finish, great comarardarie!!!

No 9 FNQ, Huge effort considering have had no wind at times, and just 2 of them High Achievement Award!!!

No 10 WSP Warriors, great effort battling it out with No 11 Team Whippet for a Top ten finish, great bunch of guys in both teams, these guys know about the Social aspects of windsurfing!!!!

No 12 CQ Ripple Riders Some good efforts during the year with some excellent individual improvements (PB's).

No 13 Burrum Heads Mob Similarly to CQ Some good efforts during the year with some excellent individual improvements (PB's).

No 14 WindWarrior Speed Divas, Well what a brilliant effort by WA Women's team, beat the blokes regularly Outstanding Team of the Year!!!!!!!

No 15 Pinna's Struggled, and a bit off the pace early on, But with some excellent late year recruitment, and trips down to HR proved a top ten performer.

No 16 St George NSW no 2 team, some great performances, but hindered by lack of wind in nSW.

No 17 SA Artheads, SA's no 2 team some excellent performances, a top ten team early on, but stopped posting for some reason??

No 18 ONBoard master Blasters, Great efforts from the older blokes of SA, continual improvements in performances, well done!!!!! Honourable Mention!!!!

No 19 Tassie Speed Seekers, the new team with potential to be a top ten team next year!!

No 20 Gold Coast, Only one posting for the year as a team, unknown quantity, apparently Gold Coast's worst season in memory.

No 21 Lake Macquarie only one post, NSW didn't have great winds this year another unknown quantity.

No 22 Board crazy Girls, only one post as a team, some top women's performances, so could be one to watch next year.

Next time Kato and I will keep our mouth's shut... Huewy is do us a good enough job of keeping us from the top spot! That and the fact that when we do get the wind, everyone comes here to make sure we dont get the top spot (grrr slowey)...

Firstly what a great idea this was to have a team event and not an individual thing and a big thanks to all the people who set this up and sponsored this untried concept.

I love that most of the teams got involved in the spirit of the comp and followed it through to the end. I met a few fellow competitors at All’s Speed Fortnight, but it’s a shame that we don’t all have a big bucket of money which would allow us to all end up at a big bbq at the end.

It was good to see that the mix of categories worked and no one team dominated, which was one of my initial concerns about a “speed comp” As it was Sam Parker was the only one to post a non Sandy Point time into the top 10 in 2 sec and 10 sec ave and we had 3 out of 6 in the Alphas. But we still couldn’t catch Slowlys Swan River Mob. Its was interesting that both Daffy and I have some pretty good 1 hrs times on GPSSS but we couldn’t get the right conditions to produce the goods and our NM just sucked.

For next year I hope that a few more Vic teams get involved, more women have a go and our wind returns to normal as I believe we all experienced the dreaded doldrums. And for the “Pit crew” continue to grow as a team, have lots more fun and we sail harder than we work.Bring on next year [}:)][}:)]

I just think we should all give a big thanks and a job well done to Hardie, Nebbian and everyone else who helped create and make this thing what it is today. Big thanks to all the sponsors as well.
Lets hope 08' brings us even more fun and wind.

Hardie the main reason we stopped posting (SA Artheads)is because it got a bit hard to try and sail on the same day(work) and having only two guys on the team didn't help. It's a pity because we got some good results but on different days.
