Sorry to post this again but I cant get any serious answers on the General forum.
After having to sand, shim or otherwise stuff around with getting fins to fit perfectly as Im pedantic about how perfect fins fit in boxes (especially Tuttle) Im keen to hear what others think.
I try and make sure that the fin base sits perfect with the fin box or base of board as I reckon that if the fin sits below or above the box then that has to induce drag or cavitation.
After seeing how most of the boards and fin set ups at Sandy Pt look so nice Im curious on what others think.
Especially on slalom and speed boards.
Thanks in advance.

From my experience:

Fanatic falcons-C3 Venom fins/select SL 7 fit perfectly flush,Tectonics needed sanding tp fit properly.

Tabou Manta-C3 Venom/Select SL7 fit perfectly flush/Vector ex needed sanding to fit.

Carbon Art speed boards-Lockwood fins/C3/Select fit perfectly flush,Tectonics needed sanding to fit.

Tectonics and Vector fin bases need abit of sanding to get into the tuttle box all other fins that i own fit perfectly.

Having the base sticking out would induce drag but having the fin pulled into the box i don't think would make that much difference.
