I'm just in the process of cutting down an old (but unused) trim box fin to change it to a tuttle head (to about 31cm). That way I will have a fin for my new to me 2nd hand board.

So far I've cut off the trim box head and filed out a Select multiconic Tuttle head to fit on the fin. The fit is good and I now need to epoxy the fin into the head.

For those that have done a similar operation, what epoxy would you recommend and will the resin need strengthening with additives (e.g. milled fibres, cloth, q-cells)? Note: I intend to use the two bolts that normally hold the multiconic fin onto the head so I have the additional strength they offer

Thanks

Terry

Epoxy with cotton flocks is what I use.
