I started a topic 16 months ago regarding the fastest speeds in NSW, since then there have been quite a few changes to the list. After the epic 3 days we have just had at Budgie it seems like a good time to update the list.
Since Sept 2016, 5 of the 13 sailors who had gone over 40 knots have improved their speeds and 4 more have joined the 40 kt club of NSW.
Initially the table only included team members from NSW sailing in NSW. But I would like to add visitors to NSW, these are much harder to search out on GPSTC. Glynn is the first one I am aware of, please message me with any others.
(The Green highlight on the ranking indicates that the track can be downloaded from KA72)

Cool.
So a Budgie - Primbee exclusive then!
The 44 knot club is lycra tight and squeaking.
It's been so long we've had PB conditions in Vicco I've forgotten about stuff like this.
Thanks for sharing.
So based on these stats, the million dollar question: which is the faster combo, Budgie&Primbee or Liptons&Fangy's?
Come on Decrepit, I know you want to do the numbers ![]()

Chriso went over 40 at Yamba in October 2016; gpsteamchallenge.com.au/sailor_session/show?date=2016-10-16&team=6
I have heard that Phil did a 42 knot 2s there back in 2007 but I can't find the info on GPSTC.
Yamba is a non weed spot. Flat water behind a breakwall.
The equivalent table for Queensland. No weed spots.

Blimey! Some good speeds there!
Revised table now that Brent has finally posted. At 35 years old is he the youngest person to do over 40 kts in NSW?

Three of those on the same day
. Thanks Andrew for posting. Would be interesting to see all states, along with locations of where people crack 40 for the first time. I know that Budge has quite a few along with SP,LG,Tas,WA and Qld.
Mick good to see Leo is still in the top 10 and posted 42.72 in 2012 , he hasn't sailed for 4 years and still n/o7, his gear was a bit ahead of its time and a bit of an eye opener for you guys and never reproduced, the same said for the legend himself he needs to make a comeback we all miss him the legend of legends ![]()
Too many posts from this decade. Let's go back, way back!

Nice one Sam! I am led to believe that my 80l Falcon is the board you used on that day, having been passed through several sets of hands over the years. It's still going strong. Given it's pedigree, it must clearly be me that's holding it back from re-achieving 40+ knots!
Updated table to include the slowest over 40kt sailor![]()

Hey Andrew, while you're at it, I've been busy working my way up the list :). 4/5/18 42.426 @ Primbee!!

Bit of a delay as I have been away.
Congrats to Mark Jordan who got over 40 last month at Budgie.
