Its a loooong way to go for Aussies!

Not a lot of information about the venue, typical conditions and likely speeds. Nothing about the format of the event either?

The aim is to establish a 'World Tour' again, but run with GPS of course. Good idea, but can amateurs afford the time and money to travel the world following series of World Tour events? If not, will it end up being another Pro event followed by professional sponsored sailors, and is there enough industry support for that to happen anyhow?

Don't get me wrong. I like the concept a lot. I hope it takes off.

I like the concept too but as you said, how successful will this be with the amateurs? Flights are expensive!
