Sorry to be a computer ignoramus - but I can lift heavy things.

My new GT31 turned up today. Loaded the supplied disc. Loaded the program and the USB driver (I think) Connected the unit via USB but cant get it to connect on its own. Had a look at at main screen that comes up and had unit in Navlink mode. Top of main screen says setup - port -com 10(with drop screen options) Had a lookd around, tried to update etc but cant seem to get it to recognise unit. Tried changing the port - com 10, com 12 etc etc but didnt make any difference.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Do I need to update first/how to? I tried to update on unit but it wont connect which is no doubt related as well. Unit itself is working fine re speed readings etc. Just cant work the linking to PC out.

I know its driver error (ME) but keen to try to sort it out. I cant go faster if I cant prove it..............Need to get it sorted so myself and a few mates can continue to push each other along.

Thanks guys,

EB

There are lots of things you could check to get navilink working, but why bother. You don't need it. Save to SD card. Pop card out if GT-31 and into your computers SD slot (or use USB adapter) and read files off card. Simple!
