Bloody awful it took so long Craig. Brilliant effort in achieving it and brilliant effort in being so humble whilst waiting 12 months for it to be ratified.

Thanks everyone
, yes it took a little longer for the tracks to be ratified than expected but a lot of work was done behind the scenes by the record committee. It now makes it easier for you lot to break it
Off you go ![]()
Great if belated news, Well done Kato. I would say it will stand for a long time but every time we say that.......
Am i reading this right. Craig did 530km in 24hrs?
That is further than sailing across Bass Strait and back!!
or
Half the Sydney to hobart!!
the race record for the sydney to hobart is 40hrs but it is usually done in about 60hrs.
so if Craig could have sustained it for another day he would have won the hobart (if you follow my logic)
does this guy have a statue put up a sandy point? well done, i'm speechless!!
According to his GPS tracks Craig actually sailed 549 KM in just over 24 hours!
The 24 hours raw recording was 541 KM and with conservative error correction it was at least 530 KM for the claimed record.![]()
A truly amazing feat which I was privileged to witness.
Nup, it's not me, never had hair quite that long.
When I catch my beard gybing it's time to give it a trim!
