You talking morning, noon or after work Sam? My best bet will be a later arvo but possibility of an early morning. Otherwise think I'll be doing Saturday too.
Bout time we posted some decent speeds, we're being left behind in the Challenge big time at the moment ![]()
I'm free all Saturday. Looks like another distance day on the 7.4. Is Sandringham any good in a SE'er? I went down there last Sunday, but the wind seemed a lot lighter than up at Kyeemagh.
You'd be surprised just how strong it is at Sandringham. Always seems to be windier than it looks. I've sailed there so many times when there hasn't been a white cap in sight and yet I've been planing the whole time on a 90 litre board and a 6.7 sail. In saying that though it is definately better in a southerly or south wester rather than a south easter.
Have a great time o'seas Chris.
Larko, you gonna venture south maybe for Saturday???
David I'll call you when I'm heading down to try and meet up somewhere.
Yeah I reckon I will. Ive been looking forward to sailing there for awhile.
If it stays S Ill have a lash. If it goes SE then after last Sat at the Tin Shed Ill opt for there.
Morning low tide looks the one from around 8 onwards. It's not a super low tide but Pelican Point off Towra should be exposed for at least a bit and the wind is now forecast S-SSW which should be as good as it gets.
Who's in as it could be worth a bit of effort?
We could actually talk for a bit about promo t-shirts and stuff if that helps you justify the trip.
Hope to see you then.
If you buggers score it good on Friday does that mean Saturday for us workers will be a write off??
Not fair, sulk, whinge![]()
Got messed up by wind dodginess and was forced to do the right thing and head in to work.
Great thing about it is that is looks like the wind has just come on back in and I haven't a hope in hell of getting out there all weekend.
Good luck to anyone out there over the weekend.
Green arrows forecast for Friday morning, low tide at 8:30. Get home from band practice at 1:00am Friday morning, stuffed after 3 hours drumming. Empty drums out of car, load boards in, almost in complete darkness and trying not to make a sound for fear of waking she who must be obeyed. Bed at 1:30AM. Up again at 6:00 AM, quick shower and bowl of cereal, check seabreeze for conditions, green arrows, jump in car, battle M2 traffic to city then more traffic on Eastern Distributor, takes hour and fifteen minutes to get to Sandringham. First sight of the water!!! Dead calm ![]()
Met up with Remi, we sat, we watched, we waited, we rigged, we waited, I plodded, we waited some more. I went to work ![]()
Early bed tonight so I can do it alllllll again tomorrow. Gee I love this sport ![]()
It's all Sams' fault, he talked it up.
