Cockroaches...

Sick_em and I are discussing on the Cockroaches Unite post where to head this weekend. I was thinking it would be great if all 10 (or as many as possible) of us could hook up at the same spot so we can all post some good speeds, push each other, learn a bit (especially Mark and I - sorry Mark but it's true), put faces to names and just have a (hopefully) good and succesful day out.

Does anyone have email addresses for all of the team incase people don't log onto Seabreeze that often?

Sandringham on Saturday and Sunday maybe ok for some flat water unless someone has a better idea?

Hopefully see you all out!

Count me in. I'll be up for both Sat and Sun. Luckily for me Ive been told to get out of the house. :)

It looks like the wind is up early? What time does everyone want to meet up? Ive never sailed Sandringham. Do you meet near the sailing club?

Should be ok all day, with a sail change at lunch! I'm keen to get there early and make the most of the stronger winds. I guess it depends on tide times as well.

Not sure what the deal is, hopefully Sam can fill us in as well as a good meeting place! I might not be there until 11 as I need to windsurfsnow to get a fin or two (unless Sam is going to join us and he can bring some with him )

Howdy all

Ive been avoiding getting myself logged on to seabreeze until now as i do too little work as it is.

Im also game for saturday and sunday all day as after last weekends flooding of my flat id rather be getting blown around and wet on the water than on my couch.

Managed to get a sail last friday before work (well, not quite before work...) which was not a good introduction to the world of speed saiing. After Sam and ben called it a day i was the only one left to take the hits for the team and in 45 knot gusts, that i did. Spent the last 5 days suffering from whiplash but should be right for the weekend. Unfortunately i put the GPS in my westuit and it didnt register so no times to post but im sure my catapults were over 30knots!

Hey Townie,

My GPS registers under my wetsuit? Ive got it in an aquapac hanging from my neck.

David

Only problem was that in those gusts my wetsuit never had time to drain and get a signal...

Will be givning it back to Ben tonight so hopefuly i might have something on it.

Hey Katapult,

I lost most of a session due to having my GPS under my rashie. It works OK when dry, but as soon as it got wet the signal went crazy. I only found out after resetting the max speed about halfway through the day, doing a run, and seeing a max speed of 5 knots.

Upper arm is best, couple of other guys have had this experience as well.
