Good to see some COROS recorded speed files posted on GPS team Challenge. Always good when another gps device is available to speed sailors.
Here's one for you but there are more if you know where to look! www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au/sailor_session/show?date=2021-01-04&team=154 & www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=user&val=345924&uid=3923 Hints are Black and Dutch! 2nd. in 2021 rankings recorded on COROS.
What makes you think this guy is posting with COROS? On GPSSpeedsuring he is posting using GW60 and Motion.

Wow amazing how good your eyes are even when the link is provided to you. "COROS"
His original post for his 45 knot session was also "COROS" but has been changed however the original file is still stored so he is not listed in the yearly rankings with it on GPSSS.
Seems you can post with whatever you want and be in the rankings on the Team Challenge, the whole concept of "rules" is bs. Seems selective enforcement is the flavor of the day.

The rules of the GPSTC are pretty straight forward. You must use an approved device and be able to produce the file on request.
As there is no charge to use GPSTC, the Admin team do not spend their days randomly checking files. It is the responsibility of the members to question anything that looks suspicious. As you have bought this to public attention, obviously the files will be checked.
Of course you could have emailed them yourself and saved me the time of dealing with it.

How would I even know how to contact you or your email, I have no idea who you are other than being part of the anonymous group that governs GPSTC. I doubt anything will get done with this or the other problems with the Challenge. A blind eye will be turned and life goes on as usual. Sorry to have wasted your valuable time dealing with it.
Why is the gps&speed section on these forums where people are the rudest
If that device is allowed for gpsss posts, it was going to happen that the files would get posted into gpstc at some point, sounds like it just needs to be clarified for the European guys who use the coros gps

Hey Roo. tbwonder is a genuinely great guy that is passionate about our sport (he is currently driving to Lake George for some speed sailing - 15+ hour drive each way). He has created brilliant windsurfing specific free upgrades for Garmin watches, and is constantly helping to advance our sport. Like many in the GPSTC he seeks to uphold the integrity of the competition, despite only being an avid participant (not "part of the anonymous group that governs GPSTC")
He certainly doesn't need anyone to fight his battles but as a friend I felt obligated to just let you know you've misinterpreted him and his posts.

Roo, You do not need to contact me, I am not part of the admin team.
My eyes are good enough to see that there is a little button on the top right hand side of the GPSTC pages that says "Contact" that is how people contact the Admin team.

Apologies TB, after reading your initial posts I assumed you were one of the anonymous lords who run GPSTC with more secrecy than the catholic church. I did some more checking and it seems if you are outside Australia you can post on GPSTC with any device, no questions asked...can be Garmin, COROS, phone app etc. Seems the rules down under are more strictly enforced than radar speed traps on the Hume highway. Enjoy your trip to George's lake.
Fair enough, Roo.
I must admit I've seen plenty of trackpoint data on GPSTC as well, recently. The rules are the rules but it seems they don't apply to all posters, for some reason.
Maybe... because we in Oz compete as teams for an actual physical trophy, so rules need to be tight to be fair. Other countries just add their data as far as I know, so rules are less important. But then again, I am known to be often wrong.
