I watched the news and looked up the 'Guru and I am puzzled as to why we hare not hearing lots of chatter about who is sailing at Burrum this weekend.
The 'guru says 30 knots SE. Whats going on?
Hi Vando,
Patchy showers have been coming through since six o'clock.
On a whole the cloud cover is a lot higher and lighter than yesterday.
Yesterday at 9am the sky still looked like night time today is certaily better.
No patches of blue sky yet but some of the water is begining to run away, so yes it's a bit drier than yesterday.
I suspect the conditions tomorrow (maybe even today) will be like the day mikey got his 40. Very gusty with broken rain squalls. Last night I though the roof was going to lift off, must have been 40 knot gusts around 9pm but only a few of those.
You coming up? Who is here already?
Cheers,
Scott Board
ummm, me thinks the wind just filled in.
Now excuse me while I retrieve my wheelie bin from across the street![]()
yeah,
we all got short changed today. the bom's 30-40 knots was more like 10-20 knots.

Pity Yeppoon doesn't have Burrums speed strip - this weekend has been howling. Got out yesterday afternoon with *board ST93 and 5.4 VMG. Very southerly direction so runs were perpendicular to swell / chop. Overpowered in gusts and ended up with severe arm pump after half an hour. Very unfit at moment. Will have another sail this afternoon and hopefully last a little longer.
Also, I thought all you guys were getting the wind down the south east.
