Would love to get the hyper on some dead flat water...

Can't get onto the burrum guys there always either sailing or asleep.
But HALF to low tide out at the point inside the sandbank is flat as.... depending on how east it goes.
If you can get onto Trevor, Geoff or Hooray their the local gurus.

Im in for sure , sailed there once but not much wind just caught one good gust and it was all over after that and thats on a high tide just covering the bank.
But on a low tide it is dead flat n a good 4km downwind run.

Fitz I'm going to hang around GB, as wind looks like its droping off. That may mean it goes ESE at GB, so may be ok here.

Might see you at GB then.

I sailed alone at burrum Heads yesterday, I could have done with some local advice! At least it was windy, twenty knots plus some.

I crossed over the northern head and further up the north beach looking for the Walkers point speed strip, have to say I found it in a big way

I was watching the breakers on the outside of the sandbar and didn't notice how shallow the inside as become, my fin bottomed out at maximum speed resulting in a capapult with snapped a harness line, bent boom and three panels blown out of my 5.8.

Had to slog several kilometers home, at least the tide was running in !!!!

The forecast looks stronger today (20-30kn SE) , I hope that's correct as I'm down to a 4.7.

Anyone still keen for a trip up North?
