I am replacing my Garmin for a GT-31 were is the best place to by one. I see them on American ebay for $140 but seem to be $230 in Australia. anyone know the cheapest place to buy one, Also is the BGT-31 more useful having the bluetooth connectivity?
I ended up going the ebay route as I couldn't find a comparable price locally.
Worked out really well, quick delivery, no problems...
We had a BGT-11, but unless you want to use it in your car, it is no practical use for speed sailing. You would need to have a paired device in your wet pack with it.
You don't use the bluetooth for data transfer, only for streaming coordinate information live to another device.
(I played with the idea of pairing it with a nokia phone, then writing an app to plot location info in real time onto a website, but never got further than the basics.)
