Any advice on best mix or type of bog to use on fins for fixing fairing up nicks and dents etc . Hava carbon fin with a good chunk in the tip and would like to restore is and a few other fins .
Thanks for any ideas .

Dartboy,
If you've got a sizeable chunk missing from the tip, I would also mix in some chopped glass to reinforce repair along with the graphite powder to give black colour.
Thanks guys great advice . Fixing up an old leading edge fin also. Appreciate the help all. Off to bunnings in the morning!
For small nicks in the leading edge I've used epoxy + Q-cell powder, the powder turns it into a shapable paste. I've tried chopped fibres as well but they make the whole thing really unwieldy to gloop into the right shape. I think that any powder would work OK, people have said that baby powder works as well.
For a bigger repair fibres are the go but if you're just after a couple of mm then just powder seems to work quite well.
... and graphite makes your fin fast ![]()
I commonly use a kneed it stick just because its convenient. It sets as hard as buggery so you have to sand it as soon as it goes off and that's not long, maybe 10 min. It sets as a light grey colour so maybe not what you want.
