Bender got a GPS reading we'd all love to see
Thats 61.88knots on the dial.
Unfortunately it occurred from a stack which the Bendy man is really starting to feel the effects of.
Data analysis (from what i gather) has him resurface 100m from his last track point after a number of very stylish tumbles. I'll leave Ben to give all the gory details. He's alright just very sore.
I missed the stack but he flagged me over afterwards and was looking quite dazed and a bit stunned (and stoked, mad bugger) with the 61 on the dial, a bit of a rest later he was back up and running (tough as).
When speed sailing if you see one of your mates have a big off go and check them. Stay with till they are ok to sail of then follow them for a bit.
I greatly appreciated Snides and Claude Going out of there way to check up on me a few months back as I was quite dazed and confused. It does make a difference! and could make all the difference.
Don't know how Yoyo will play this one for the state GPS ranking, was on the GPS and whilst in some semblance of sailing![]()
I think Mr Bender is going to have the most uncomfortable bed tonight.![]()

It wouldn't be a 2 sec Navi speed , would it?
So I'm one step ahead. As stated in the preamble ..
*Speeds are Display on Garmin
And 2 sec Doppler on Navi/GT-11
Bender and I checked it out at my place, Realspeed only showed a normal speed, 33 knots I think. That's still one heck of a catapult!
the other day when i got a pb the garmin 201 registered a 36.0 it would have been nice to have that but after thinking about it, it didn't feel that that fast so i considered it a spike and accepted the lesser speed...how i wish these contraptions don't do that or else i'd be treating everyone just like having a hole-in one on the golf course as they usually do![]()
Caught up with the Bendy man today, had the "old man" shuffle going on![]()

I think he had about a 1/2inch² on his left elbow which didn't hurt
