Hi just wondering if it is worth getting the BGT over the GT. Is it any easier and does it work any differently.

Thanks

Hi Tom,
The Bluetooth function only works with live streaming of data to another Bluetooth device. It is of no use for windsurfing. For instance, you cannot transfer the recorded data from the BGT-31 to your computer using Bluetooth.

Better to go for the cheaper GT-31 which has all the features needed for windsurfing and more.

Ahh, I would never use that.
Thanks Andrew

Out of interest, purchased the Bluetooth version. I used it once inside a leaky pouch which I wasn't too worried about because the unit is supposedly waterproof. Anyway, totally flooded the unit. Stuffed. Sent the unit back to the factory and they will not guarantee either unit for windsurfing.
Tops!!

yeah but that's written on their website before you purchase it.

"Attention: GT-31/BGT-31 unit MUST be used in a waterproof housing or bag when used in watersports. The device itself is waterproof but it will not withstand the use of in extreme sports. IPX7 is tested in the still water for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter."
