What's the idea of that nose cutout?
I reckon they look good apart from that.

Less windage and keeps the rest of the outline in the right proportions.

It's hard to critisize the boards as josh has done so well on them, the step certainly not a new idea.

Hope the sharks can read, bit of a worry in breeding season

so... one of the best wavesailors in the world, came 1st on gear that he is familiar with...

gee - the new board must be the reason he came 1st.

Alternatively bjorn has shown that boards that aren't quite perfect will not get you to the front of the fleet no matter how much talent you have. Simple if the boards were pigs he wouldn't be going so well.

Then again if everyone around here is anything to go by he should wake up to himself and step onto CA & KA

josh said he was happy sailing his own boards. he was keen however to try the Kaos out. i suggested the kult might suit him better.

personally i like a step in the tail of the board. always found it helps the gybes.

Hmmm. watched the video. Nice action. Josh was using very good race craft but didn't seem to have as much board speed as Elbow and Dunky. Maybe that step was slowing him down?
