Hi guys, after a bit of advice.

I've got a 98 Jp Fsw 101 litre. I weight 76 kgs and I'm looking a getting a faster fin for my board that would be compatible with the board. Hoping to get some advice on fin size and brand.

Secondly I'm considering buying a 5.8 koncept to use on this board. Would the koncept go well on this board?? I remember reading that the the koncept has a lot of downforce and can make a wave oriented board sticky and no faster?? Thoughts

Not sure there would be any reason why a slalom /speed sail like Koncept or equivalent would not work on a FSW board for some flat water blasting, it will certainly be faster than a wave sail. FSW boards tend to have flatter rocker lines a bit closer to slalom boards anyway.
It will be a matter of matching the fin size correctly which will depend on what wind range you wish to use this combination in and whether you will use the board for downwind speed sailing or more beam reach across the wind type sailing.

Off the top of my head I would have thought a slalom fin around 26 cm would be in the range as the board probably has a relatively narrow tail? you could maybe go 28cm.

I used my 4.9 Koncept on a 70L waveboard last week. It was only 1-2 knots slower than the 70L speedboard I used the same day, but felt less scary in the chop. Certainly did not feel "sticky". Same fin used in both boards.

It depends on the style of FSW, I had a kode and used it for over a year when I started GPS speeding, but also a fanatic freewave. The kode was great (112l), had quite outbaord straps and was fast, the freewave felt really strange, slow to plane (which it isnt usually), always felt like it was crabbing sideways but didnt spin out. It just felt really odd, never tried it since, perhaps now I am a bit better it would be more suitable.

Just give it a go, they will work fine for an intermediate level of gps speeding.
