40 Knot Easterly At Sandy Point

Thought I'd share this day with the SB community.

One of the strongest easterlies Daffy & I have seen.

It's a spot record in an easterly for both of us and proves that fast NM's are possible in an easterly!

Here's a video Daffy snapped of me after he'd packed up. I snuck out for a few runs in 40 knots on the 4.4 and Mistral 47 but was too wasted by then to really let rip in that much wind and chop.

Cripes you'd want balls of steel to attack that chop going up but looks great coming back!

Yeah mate. Closer to the sandbar it's not as bad as it looks in the foreground but it was still hairy. I had to chicken gybe.

Daffy also shot a 'home run' with me doing the Elasto-man pose to give you an idea about the lumps when you move off the sandbar.
