Set up some timing markers on the channel and you'd have a local Walvis speed strip,

that's a truly amazing speed, awesome work

Speaking to Sam - he said "it was a broad day - hard for nautical miles".

Imagine what could be done with the right direction.....

...or anywhere in WA

nice one hamma. You guys seem to be struggling to find flat water and wind these days, unlike us here in WA- the speedsailing paradise I keep reminding myself that we get good training conditions every few months

That is a blisteringly quick NM, I cannot comprehend how to do that ! well done Hamma. Anyone care to predict how long that record will stand in the GTC?

Next NNW it's been a 7 day cycle lately so i predict it will happen by the end of the month....no guessing who will do it again.
Hamma got the only decent squall(around 40knts) of the day to run the entire course and was at the top of the run when it hit and just went for it,pity he types to slow otherwise he would tell you all about it

i am guessing that depends (by all reports) on how long it takes for the water to fill it up again

such an awsome effort hamma well done!

Goolwa/Clayton approx 1 hour from Adelaide the nautical mile run only works on a N-NW and is approx 5km long, check this link http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDS65290.shtml and if Hindmarsh Island predicts winds of 25+ knts N-NW then we'll see you there.

Extreme stuff Anthony.
That is a solidly set bar to aspire to.
Well done mate.
We'll be ambitiously aiming at it.
