Windwanderers Windsurfing club held a GPS 1 hour challenge recently at Lake Cootharaba in Queensland. Just thought I would post it here also in case anyone is interested or missed it in the Qld forum as it is GPS related.

We also had a very informal NM challenge on Sunday. (results taken off GPS Team Challenge) so let me know if you were out there and I have missed you. Was just a bit of fun to see what nautical mile speeds were achievable on the lake in the consistent North East wind. Interesting as there were some very close speeds. Not much in it between 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th places. Thanks to all those that made it up to the lake. We will definitely look at running something again along those lines. Was a great weekend.

hey, that looked like a sweet event and a great time, i checked out the results, wow, is that hr average, 26kts, thats big, you had a lot of people who posted a solid hr average, congrats to Vando, that guys a windsurfing rock star, and congrats to the Windwanders, great looking day................im so jealous, floundering around in the weed at toukley
