SA's Onboard Speed Demons had a blinder of a weekend
www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au/showsession.php?id=27 , bumping up their 1 hour and distance travelled scores to totally obliterate their competition. In fact they lead five out of the six divisions, and in the one remaining division (Alpha) they didn't post a score.
Check out the leaderboard here: www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au
www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au

I only hope they don't discover the Guides
http://www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au/guides.php pages, with instructions on how to calculate alpha, so some of the other teams get half a chance to improve their score!

Well done guys, top effort

The rumour on the street is that some cockroaches might have had some reasonably quick runs on the weekend, so might be able to tip the balance somewhat, but it will take a mighty effort to bump SA off the top of the table...

If I'd known they were this good I would've banned them

Hi guys,

We are trying to gather the sa teams alpha times so we can post them. Hopefully the times are okay - we will see. Adelaide seems to have some wind for the next week so hopefully we can improve our times.

Good luck guys.

Cheers,

Carl Macdonald.

Thanks for the heads up Ben, we have loaded the alpha's. The Vic boys look like they are going to get a week of 25 knot winds so I suspect we wont stay ontop for to long.
Cheers,
Chris

Reiffo,

That IS impressive -- number one in all 6 categories. I think we need to have a "Boggy Handicap", as opposed to the "Sandy Point Advantage"!

Surely there's a team out there somewhere that can just sail from dawn to dusk, just to get their total distance up and beat them?

Well done anyway, that's a fantastic effort.

How about this:

Gestalt drives his jetski down the Viccy Point run at 40 knots, and I sail just in front of the wake... meaning I'm always going downhill

Tie three uphaul ropes together and to the back of the jet ski.

The elasticity in the rope should give you the extra oomph to go better than the 40.

The carp are a special breed 3ft long 12" thick fin proof fish, guaranteed to slow down a bogie boy

It's early days folks. We've had some wind which has helped us get of to an ok start. This lead should change many times throughout the competition, and that's what makes it enjoyable and exciting.
