wet wettie

My wettie's wet and I might need it tomorrow, 2 questions

(1) has anyone put there wettie in the washing machine?
(2) " " " " " chlothes dryer, c'mon someones tried it, what happened ?

Yep, just found that out.
Not game to go the dryer though.

Just get a 20 lt bucket with a lid (like the white ones they have paint in or that they sell in hardware stores)
In the morning before you head off to the beach, half fill the bucket with warm/hottish water and a dusting of washing powder then throw your wettie into it and smack the lid on then put it in your car.
Grab a plastic shopping bag.
When you get to the beach put the plastic bag on your foot and then pull the wet but warm wetty out of the bucket and slide your foot into it.
Swap feet and pull the wetty all the way on.
Put the lid back on the bucket and put it back in the car... when you get out you can stand in the bucket to pull the wetty off to warm your feet OR pour the warmish water over you after you've pulled the wetty off.

Just lay a towel on the ground, layout wetsuit on top, roll up towel with wettie inside and squeeze towel once rolled up to push the moisture out of the suit into the towel. Repeat with fresh dry towel if desired. Don't use best shower towels for this obviously........ Or do if you swing that way.

I hang the Wettie in my living room ("It's OK darling, we have a tile floor." ) Dry and warm in the morning.

Or, I just use one of the other wet suits. Simples.

Wear it to bed. Your body heat will dry it gently overnight without the risk of damage posed by heating it in the dryer.

I have put my wettie in the washing machine to spin dry. It works fine.

There's no way I would put a winter weight wettie in a tumble dryer. Add heat and a mechanical abuse and you're going to feck up a perfectly good wettie.

I solved the wet wettie problem forever. I bought a second wettie. The new one is a Rip Curl Flask Bomb. It gets touch dry on the surface of the inside in about 20 minutes.

All that dicking about with rolling up a wettie in a towel doesn't really work. All you get is a slightly less wet wettie, ... and a wet towel.

PS. When you look at the responses make sure you check where the person comes from. Those softcocks from the north have no idea about cold water and wetsuits.

PPS. Coming from SA you might want to check out these: https://radiator.net/sams/ They have a shiny silver lining and you can wipe it dry with a towel or a chamois. The pattern on the outside might be useful to you as well.

If it's a windy night (even in winter), the wind doesn't do bad job.

I find if I do half then the other half in 5 minutes later, it isn't too bad. The wettie takes less than a minute to warm up.
