Check out the gear reviews. You might need s delta XT fin.
That is a tiny fin for the power that sail will produce.

the kestral is delta style fin ,its the same area as a 50 fin looks the same as the maui fin.

I don't think anyone makes a big enough shallow water fin for what you want.
Im almost your weight and use a 160 xcite ride and 9.5 sail and had to make my own .
The problem with us big guys is that we need big fins , in deep water on that set up I would use a 52 free ride or 48 slalom type fin.
I posted here the making of my fin , called , Big sail shallow water fin project. And it works great.
It is kind of like a Black Project Free Delta RE fin large , which may be big enough for you,( not those little triangle ones )

great info, i was hoping i could get away with the kestral,do you find the foot strap positions feel like they are to wide or does that fin power up good.it will be hard to get the g 11 sheets up here so how do you think a balsa core would go wrapped with glass,i can shape balsa pretty good.i have repaired busted center boards with balsa and carbon

The Delta XT 26 will do the trick Matt down at Budgie was using a Kestrel 24 in his Patrik 140 freerace, 8.6 loft race and it was just not working. He tried the 26 Delta XT and it was the first time he was able to get in the footstraps and push against the fin something he has not been able to do using any other delta fin in the board.

Foot strap position feels normal. I can push reasonably hard ,just have to be a bit careful over rougher chop.
Remember it has to be strong.
Mabee use a old chopped fin and build up around it. Mine is still 30cm deep and need all of it.

Sounds like you need a Fangy fin. Designed for exactly your situation, big gear light wind shallow water and weed. Check them out in the gps and speed talk forum. They are being cast in aluminium and a small production run is taking place in the near future I believe. I've got my name down for all 3 sizes.
Be warned matchsticks are required to keep your eyes open if you attempt to read the whole thread.

IMHO for light winds 8.5-9.5msails the Delta's are OK as long as you don't put your back foot in the strap but I too find them awkward.
There is really no substitute for length to get a bit of leverage over a wide tail,
I got the longest weed fins I could find 51cm TrueAmes and a Tangent Dynamics (ebay) and just cut them off square at 32cm and makes a great shallow water fin and feels more like a normal fin
You still have to be light on the back foot till you get up to speed tho.
Or make a tri fin like I just did to my old formula board (haven't tried it yet)
