I have a weedy that I would like to convert to a trim box, anyone used the method with trim box adapter in link.

Not for a Trimbox conversion, but I used similar conversion bases for Tuttle and Powerbox from US base.
Not that successful for me. The fins all broke off flush with the base. It might work better with a fin made with a lot of carbon or good G10..
Also, I think Conic base is a specifically designed base for use in multi adaptors, so it should work better.
therein lies the crux - need a fin that was made for multi-adaptors

I would get the correct fin with correct base.
i have converted surf fins with Futures bases into slotbox, that's by the molding of epoxy, with success.
The fin in question is a 36 cm JP freeride weed, g10. Started its life as a tuttle that I successfully reshaped to power box. Think I might go down the path of converting it with some measuring,cutting,grinding and moulding to suit.
Tapered mould made, excess trimmed from head to fit and ready to poor in a resin/microfibres and rovings mix. What's the shelf life of west systems epoxy? Think I've had this lot for about 8 years.

With proper storage, WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin and hardeners should remain usable for many years, especially if the containers are kept closed in order to prevent contamination. Over time, the resin will thicken slightly which, in turn, will require extra care when mixing.
Both resin and hardeners should be stored at room temperature. Indeed, if the resin freezes and thaws out many times it can cause crystallisation. If this happens, however, it is a simple matter to dissolve the crystals by warming the resin to 50?C and stirring for a while..
