I got mine apart with 4 booms and me and mate worked to twist it apart. The culprit for me was carbon build up.
Just noticed my WOD mast is stuck together. Can't seem to get it apart
You can only separate a WOD mast by using a hack saw, just pick wear you want if to separate and cut away ![]()
For those that cant be bothered opening past topics, "Stand mast on ground, grab mast below join, begin shaking mast as fast as you can, will vibrate itself loose".

OK i've separated a number of masts now and this never fails.
Get a good size rubber mallet
Place your foot on the bottom part on the mast to hold it to the ground
Then swing that mallet. Be sure to give it a good few love taps.
The top half will bounce off.
Might take about 4-6 swings.
Happy days. Next time tape that join. I don't but i don't rig up in sand, but i do keep a rubber mallet in my car. Ya never know...right!!!

I always wondered if Lotofwind pole-vaulting from the Kiting forums to the Windsurfing forums was "a bit of light fun"
