Hi

Would like to get a freeride/move/wave/style board (or whatever they call it) to use when conditions get rough in the bay, ie big chop and above 25 knts.

I'm a slim guy (93 kg) and only use slalom gear.

Got a no cam 5.4 sail (point 7 sado), was offered a very good deal on a kode wood 103 (2010), the idea is to keep sailing in those conditions (when the slalom gear becomes a handful) and throw a couple of jumps.

Would it be a good combo ?
Anyone sailing this board ?

ps : please do not recommend other boards..

103 litre is too big for 25 knots and 93kgs.

Go for something smaller, you'll love how you can throw it around using only your ankles to hop the chop

But it is better than nothing of course

Be careful on this one. At 90 kgs I had a Kode FSW 94 2012 ( very similar to the current one ) and the big fat tail caused a heap of problems. It was very very difficult to control at 25 knots. It should be called a Freestyle.
In contrast I now have the 2014 Kode wave 92. This one is much better. Thin tail more like the old Acids, gives me a lot more control in the higher winds. It would be as big as you need for a true 25kt wind. The 103 would be horrible due to that fat tail. It is made for light winds.
