Whilst out sailing today i noticed my board was a bit soft under foot just in front of the back foot pad.

I'm not certain but think it may be due to the board being in the sun on the back of the ute. I had the plug left in as i always do. The board was in a reflextive bag.

Is this a big problem? can the board be repaired and how?? Really would like to repair it as it's not that old.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Classic spot to go soft - back foot position for gybes?

How soft? Pressing the areas with fingers is a good test. You may be able to sail it a little while longer - if you are real keen. BUT, you need to get it fixed.

Dunk, don't leave the breather screw in !!!! Reflective bag or not...

Repair depends on how soft and how big an area, but it is always salvageable

Gold standard repair is to cut out the divinycell and redo the sandwich layers, but for a board that is not jumped and the soft area is small just injecting epoxy with a super slow hardener may do it

Have a look at boardlady.com
