Ive torn (head dive thru it ) the main panel in my favourite 5m wave sail with the help if some uv exposure iI think. Any suggestions as to where I can get a good, as in not too expensive repair job in Melbourne, apart from the obvious retail outlets. Too far to go back to Stewy Bell in WA.

Cheers, Mobi

Hi, Mobi,

Before anyone else suggests it, James at Thomson Sails (Caulfield South) is on his way to sunnier climes and will not return until September.

Horizon Sails in Sandringham will probably fix -> good but not cheap.

If the damage is bad enough, its probably not worth "getting it fixed". Instead buy some sticky-back cloth from the same place (about $30 per sq.m.), then fix it yourself**.

** beware of seams as the sticky-back doesn't stick to them too well.
