looking for a cruising rig for off shore during storm season,with the winds gusting and potentially larger than normal wind ranges in short periods what is safest uesable set up,from what I can gather for me at 80 plus kegs a soft top mast 7.0m ish cammed sail with adjustable out haul I would hope to be able to handle 15 to 20 plus gusting winds, still a novice and riding 125 l as well.cheers legends.

G'day Mort.

I'm 80kg and on flat water I can hold my 7.0 cammed sail in 30kts with a 90L board...
However, when sailing offshore with the potential for sub-planning lulls, you probably want at least 100L to 105L so you can float back.

As you go faster, smaller becomes easier to control. Just make sure you can get back!
