hey was wondering if anyone in wa gets into prone paddleboarding open ocean distances, i am looking at getting a 12'-14' race paddleboard and paddling open ocean

Try the SUP forum. Quite a few SUP guys prone paddle also.
Seriously though, Stand Up makes much more sense particularly if you want to downwind.

I've been looking to do the same, but haven't had much luck. Tried contacting SLSWA to find out about races/clubs etc. Can't find any in WA.
Plan on contacting some of the SUP stores. I'll post back here if I have some luck.
