I've noticed the sailboard general page is usually half a page before the posts are 24 hours old where the kite page hardly ever has posts older than 24 hrs on page 1.

good indication on the popularity of each sport and a bit of an insight into why the vid attracted the above juvenile comments

Bet he's more carefull witch forum he posts his vids on next time

Yep a good indication of popularity.

A good indication of intelligence is the accidental posting in the wrong forum over and over again by kiters. Not the windsurfers, or surfers, or sup'ers......
Seriously how hard can it be to post in the right area?

ive noticed that about half the posts in the kitesurfing forum are kiters slagging kiters. kiters slagging other beach users, kiters slagging windsurfers, then a lot of the remaining posts are how to keep kiting from getting banned.

Which is funny as fk anyway - because a few kiters were saying 3yrs ago in that forum how things would go if the idiots didn't lift their game, but they got abused and so on. Now still going on about bans and how to prevent it......

Look it was a well produced video, good editing, some cool angles etc but what do you expect posting it in here...it's not likely to impress windsurfers. My general attitude is that if you can do it from a clothesline in your backyard with a ski rope...meh

Don't get me wrong I am impressed by some kiting vids, but your run of the mill ****astic dangle spins do not.

I'm on the water plenty often enough.

Actually posted that straight after some lovely little righthanders on the south end of Newy beach.

Seriously guys, There's a fair bit of negativity on SB these days. I recently made a post seeking some info on a new sail I bought and didn't get one reply.

I hope it doesn't get like you need to involved in some sort of sh!tty dual between the discipines to be involved in a chat.

Asking Windsurfers to comment on a Kite surfing video is a bit like asking boaties to comment on a jet ski vid.

Constructive criticism is not going to happen and you're just going to get bagged about how only gay lords and tea baggers dressed as children attach themselves to parachutes and wave their arse around..

On that, if you have a video of a hot chick in a g string doing that.. Please feel free to post in here.

A quick look at the top threads at the moment:

To [sic] Many Kite Schools at Woodies#1 without Permits
kitesurfer blown on beach
Fun with PayPal Scammers
THIEVING GEAR OFF BEACH while downwind
Can you top this?
Petition to ban kiting at Dog Beach Altona

Except the PayPal one (although it's possible) they are ALL about kitesurfing being banned or slagging each other off. Which is kinda ironic.

Funny Panda

The real question here is who is smarter pole or bag?

Im going for pole as they will stay away from surfers swimmers as baggers, well they just want to show off or run over surfers! Ive never had a prob with windsurfers when surfing onshore but, a couple of times Ive had very close calls with kiters, never ever with windsurfers.
What does that tell you?

It's so bitchy.

Kinda sad.

Yeah , I think the person that got killed by a windsurfer on Bondi Beach many moons ago might be scared of them.
