Hi all, I would like this mag to find a new owner who would appreciate it .
I bought it new when I first took up windsurfing and now it should go to a new home.
any thoughts!
Wow, that was one of the most defining moments in windsurfing, first time a back loop was captured on film! I remember we studied those photos for ages but it was almost 2 years later that we could do backies.
Never ever considered that he is a Robert, looking at it and reading the name it actually took a little while for the penny to drop.
And that the S stands for Staunton is always a bit surprising.
Jill Boyer is actually wearing a Gaastra sail as a dress, it was a great ad back in the day.
Never heard of Jill so wonder who the last member of the trio is.....?
It would be Pete Cabrinha.

It would be; bond, James bond! Year 9 metal work busselton senior high. How are you Col?
Busso high was awhile ago, is this Troy (Buswell)?
Not sure Troy did metal work! His area was chair construction, car destruction and getting on the sauce!
I did like the Picasso sail back in the day
^^^It would be Pete Cabrinha. Robby got the chicks,Pete went the other way.
?????? I raced against that trio a fair bit (Rip Curl, Surflite etc) at the time and I thought Pete was an item with Jill, Suzan Gedayloo or one of the other Hawaiian women pros.

Pete was with Susan Gedayloo (sp?),sadly she died a few years after that from a nasty disease/illness.
Richard Whyte was Susan Gedayloo's partner, she passed away from leukemia. Pete and Jill were an item, thats when everyone sailed at Diamond Head on Oahu.
If you want to check out some awesome sailing and lifestyle from the era get a copy of "Tradewinds", sweet dvd.
