I just got this board and gear as a trade for mowing a lawn ( it was a bad lawn
) the overall collection is a real jumble of bits but the only missing bit is one of the fins and the mounting block. . I'm sure somebody can tell me the correct words.
the board has the name STORM 8 (80 l ?) . I realize that its not a good board to learn on but having gotten as fast as I want to go for now on the landboard I thought it might be better to fall off on something softer till I get more confident. I think its about 12-14 years old. Are compatible parts still available or will I have to make bits from scratch?

your about a week to late!, I had a old board with the same boxes, and i just put it out on the road side cleen up and now it gone!

but there is a chance i may have an old box in the shed, wich came from the board, but it may have been chucked, i will try find it tomoro and if i do i will send it your way.

even if you cant find a spare box, fill it in, remove the otehr side fin, and make it a single fin board,

Gee that brings brings back memeories. It's a Windrush storm 8. It was supposed to be a wave board.
I had many a day on one of these. They weigh a ton.

I think you will be able to get the right bits you will need from Hydrodynamix.
Check their website

EDIT :I have a set of original Storm 8 fins complete with the boxes, i took them out when i put the board out for hard waste

PM you address and i will post them too you

previous owner bought it from a windsurfing shop in Perth , . Apart from the chipped fins it has 1 scratch in the nose and looks bulletproof. It all seems to be mixed bits. the sail is all sticky, so I will fit one of the sails Ive had aside for making landyacht sails . I only got it because it had a good mast and base , but then I thought , It will only take one good rain this summer and I could learn something new. On the landboard Ive got to 20knt , and was accelerating, but backed off as it had got a a bit scary . Time to get a bit more confidence with the whole windsurfing mechanics before I try going faster.
can i assume it was supposed to be a wave board , but wasnt, and of course the question are 3 fins better than 1?
