I know the seal you describe, and yes its a bloody rip off with the cost of the seal installer. Even a Cat rear and front main installer wasn't that bloody expensive.![]()
Maybe you could do what most of the clients I had when working for Cat, just called out one of the field lads, and asked them to install same. Two reasons, one the tooling was bloody expensive, and an hours labor, was relatively cheaper, second if our lads installed it, workmanship came into it, so aspects such as a dud install, or an issue where at forefront. The job was then warranted. I believe Isuzu dealer have a break down team or a field service team here in Perth? Not sure where you are located.
There are other options for the seal, being a marine type similar seal, but haven't seen one for a Isuzu.
Hope this helps.
thanks very much . i thought of all the hard ways to do it not for a second did i think of getting someone to come out . thanks for a lesson in common sense ![]()

)and at the price asked (around $6-$7 a pack) Nar mate, I know what they are worth, and they aint no $6-$7 a pack I can tell you. Bloody crook buggers ![]()

by the way can any one recommend a moblie diesel fitter in or around mandurah happy to pay not just a favor . well a hour untill i start banging my head against a pole untill i find some who knows what the hell i am on about ... bring back the holden red motor .
no luck yet , no one in the mandurah area has the tool to rent out ,the one i found who had tool but woundnt do a call out cause i had removed the gear box and it was not worth it to them to come out even if i paid for an hours. labour for 1 minutes work . so i am taking a break to rethink . i found a tool in the USA but it is still a grand . so i think my next step is to get a tool made
