Gday all, I am after advice an the best material to repair the nose on a xantos f2. I've used fibreglass and mat before, but just seems to lift after the first knock.maybe epoxy is better??or more preparation than just sanding. It's an 07 wood sandwich. With a coating under the paint. Also what paints a good hard Waring paint for the bottom?? Your advice would 've much appreciated! Cheers"

You need to use epoxy or you may melt the blank. Poly resin eats eps foam. There are some base epoxy rust paints available in spray cans from your hard wear shop in a few colours that seem pretty good - just repaired nose and tail if an old 104 freewave and came out ok - if you paint it it shows up any poor fibreglass work - look at "board lady .com "

Good luck

Must be windy around Australia at the moment - judging by the number of repair threads going on.
