Imagine the noise , the little ones are bad enough.
They should take the prop guards off and let natural selection kick in.

Looks like a toy alright.

No petrol though.....

But this one looks like it might be practical if they get the batteries good enough:

Or how about this, say you want to try a windsurfing location that you can't get to by car or truck. Load your gear on the little hawk, and fly their. Wanna island hop in Hawaii and windsurf the different Hawaiian Islands in one day, load the gear up. This little hawk could also enhance our windsurfing adventures.

I doubt it. Carrying capacity would be very, very limited.

Agree. The range would be even further reduced by the added weight of your equipment. Power consumption also increases when you add in the VTOL component. It may be better to pocket the money and use it to buy new gear every year, having some left over for early retirement and travel to all the windy locations when the urge hits.

I am pretty sure if it would carry the average burger eating American then it would definitely carry my weight and a heap of gear however in normal 20 to 25 knot conditions ( or 30 plus knots on Maui) control might become a bit sketchy.

It has a planing hull, but you would need to rig something larger than a 10.5. Not much carbon in the construction so these babies are a tad heavy.

You might need a 10.5 on every wing.

Nobody has mentioned the inflatable flying boat.

It sounds like there are a lot of intolerant Grumpy Old Men in this forum.

Just remember that pretty much everybody's recreational pursuits annoy someone...... even windsurfing.

Haaa!! About time someone comments on that!!
I couldn't agree with you more. There are a fair amount of grumpy old fogies on this site period!! Sometimes you just gotta laugh and be humble about it. The truth is, when you get old, that's when the complaining begins, that is if it hasn't already. Heck I'm 40, lovin life, complaining or bickering is the last thing on my mind.

Does it have sufficient insurance to cover "un-intended" damages when one of these beauties rips through my house? Would the air traffic controllers have any say in such toys? Do you need flight-paths for these suckers? And which minister is responsible for them? What happens when a thief got hold of the key, and went joy-riding on it?

So many questions, haven't got a clue about it !

Just be a pain in the ass for a second...Here we are s**ting bricks over housing affordability, and the yanks have to work 2 or 3 jobs just to pay rent, and feed the family. Here we have toys for the well-to-do. Can you see why people are see red ?
