hey! in august i'm going to greece for windsurfing, and i rented an equipment at triana. rhodos, but now i realised that there is a spot called prasonisi which seems much better...
does anyone know if triana is a good enough windsurfing spot?
My experience in Rhodes was good. Its pretty populated at the northern end but the wind was best on the western side I think. Mostly onshore and stronger than the east coast. There were lots of options for rental along the coast. I never went to Prasonia as its a bit of a hike and I was based at the other end of the island. Most of those islands seem to have some pretty nice conditions and usually I could find someone to hire me some gear with out to much notice. It was great to island hop on the ferries and sail in a variety of spots.
From the web.

Prasonisi is great. Waves on one side of the beach... flat water on the other. I went many years ago when there were only a couple of small tavernas at the beach and you could wild camp right behind. Food was cheap and locals friendly. As I understand it's a bit more developed now with a hotel and rental gear. Do a search for Prasonisi Centre and contact them directly for info on rental gear.
Event many years ago while I was there people would regularly come down from the North of the island for day trips. Wind in Prasonisi is apparently a bit stronger then further North.
