Thanks heaps for posting the message - the sail is mine, I've spoken to the guy who found it - unfortunately I'm not up there any more.

Does anyone have any good ideas on how to get it back to Perth?

Cheers
John

It seems that one other sail also fell off the wagon that day (17-18/10/07) - a 4.2 Naish Session, in a red bag.

Mine was picked up half way between the Bundegi turnoff and the wind turbines - so keep an eye out - someone might have picked it up.
Could have ended up on the side of the road somewhere between the lighthouse and... gnaraloo . It's a longshot, but worth putting out the word.

As for my sail - Thanks for the offers (Exmouth's a pretty big deviation from Karratha to Perth !!). No go at Austpost (no comment - but I think the guy who works there tried his best). I've spoken to Steve at TollWest and it sounds like that's the go - my local hero said he'll take it there at lunch - so should be on track soon.

(insert joke here about tying your gear on properly)

Got my sail back today - rolled it out on the grass and it looks fine. Perfect timing for some seabreezes and evening sailing this week hopefully.

Thanks heaps stamp for posting the note in the first place. Unfortunately after what they slugged me for freight, and a carton for the guy who picked the thing up and ran around town with it, there's not much left in the kitty - I owe you a drink though. In the meantime, I'll pass the favour along the chain, and hopefully it will get back around to you.
