1. Smashed the nose of my freeride board.
2. Ripped a footstrap screw out of my speed board . (Thanks very much to Vando for the help with 2 above repairs )
3. Almost got stuck near Green Island (Thanks again, Haircut, thought I was going to have to camp at Green ) - Damage done : pride and temporary cerebral scarring at the thought of becoming shark food -
4. Sliced feet on oysters whilst trying to sail barefoot like the pros ;)
5. Catapulted and hit my GPS on the mast, rendering it about as useful as a pencil sharpener for recording data.

How did I do, Richiefish ?

Punched a hole in my 7.4 Loft02. Easily fixed and as I was fixing it my wife spotted it and recommended I get a new sail as the old one (just over 12 months old) looked tatty.
Some times a women's point of view has advantages and I never tell her she is wrong
I declined the offer of course (yea right I did) slipped in the order that day.

1 mast broken mysteriously on the beach, left rigged in semi-shade
10 toenails cut (please let that count)
2 small cuts on hand from falling down drunk
1 standing electric fan broken in drunken falling-down incident (so it's wind-related)
small cut on left toe from sandals

...and you call yourself hardcore????

willy, if you do your drinking lying down (ie. in bed) then you can't fall down and will remain a lot safer>

- Willy forgot to mention the reason for his drunken fall was due to the bottom of his dress catching on his high heels
-come on Willy, harden up!

thats a lot of damage. I dont have any mental scaring(yet) but when the mast went thru the top of the luff pocket I had just returned from a run close to wello and back to manly, was just sitting in the water about 100m from the steps when, BANG it just went. If that had happened 5 minutes earlier i would have been an unhappy chappie..

You should trim ALL of your toenails !!! Usually being drunk will save one from getting hurt. You must have been a bit too sober ???

Better for the footstraps too.

The toenails, that is, not your sobriety.

...and I broke another mast today!!! Freestyling!!! Heli tacks, sailing backwards, sailing backwinded, u name it...

In 3 knots...

It was a really old 1-piece 460 mast I found on the junk heap, just had to break when used with a modern sail (Ezzy wave SE 6.9)

...but that's not the point! I BROKE A MAST WHILE FREESTYLING!!!!!!!!

I'M HARD!!!!!!!!

Kiters mostly LOSE things. They break boards, ankles, etc, too.

they tear stuff and if they're lucky no one else sees it happen, otherwise other kiters bag them out on the forums for self launching, not self launching, self rescuing, not self rescuing, climbing onto rocks, pulling the safety, not pulling the safety, not being far enough away from the beach, being too far from the beach to swim in, wearing a board leash, not using a board leash, or just simply beeing a kook it's tough work being a kiter when there's a seabreeze forum

How does a catapault leading to a bit of "mast" on mast impact count?? Left me with a black bruise the size of a 10c piece on the end of the wife's best friend..yowch! Please note, no RDMs were involved .

Thanks Richie you've put the mocka on all of us.
First green arrow day in a month for CQ and I've snapped a boom, via a la calapulta + 400m paddle.

Richie what have you done starting this thread????
Thursday hit submerged tree/log, at about 28knts and came to a instant stop.
Fractured fin and some sort of damage to most parts of my body.
Yesterday my mate broke his ankle, requires surgery, thats him gone for 2-3 months, needed two people to carry him back up the beach as he was floundering around in the shallows like beached dugong.
I had to do a 1km round trip through the stingray shallows to rescue his gear before the tide washed it into the mangroves.[}:)]
Can we please have this thread removed and any further reference banned.
